You can't stop the parroting behaviour unless you use a variety of
applications. Otherwise you end up with those people that Yuri met who
get lost if the application icon is moved to the other side of the
desktop.
I Met Jim Gettys at LCA2007 last month and he pointed out that both
MS-Word and OpenOffice are ludicrously over-featured for children.
Abiword is about right. He's got a good point there.
