[nzlug] encrypted IMAP storage?

Maybe i'm asking the obvious - but surely the storage medium would need to 
support the encryption mode?

Eg, if Gmail don't support encryption, how do you expect to influence the 
manner in which they store your messages?

If you controlled the server you'd have a lot more flexibility - but as a 
client, the options available to you are only as good as those offered by 
the server which physically hosts your 1's and 0's.
