Last I heard, Ivo van Doorn, who maintains the driver, wasn't updating the
old rt2400 driver for SMP kernels.

If it isn't on the install CD, I can't access it. Rather than drag the PC
around the house to the router, I'd rather just install a distro that works.


My wireless "just worked" out of the box with Ubuntu 6.06......I was sorry
they couldn't preserve that. There may be several drivers that only work
with uni kernels and it might not be hard to add a loop to the install that
checks for this, then either installs a uni kernel or notifies the user of
the issue.
