[nzlug] Nvidia proprietary driver & multiple monitors in Ubuntu

I have used NVidia AGP with a non NVidia PCI in a dual head
configuration. The NVidia tools (Twinview) will not notice / config the
second card.
As I understand it, you have a dual head configuration, and you're
looking at going triple or quad using a second PCI video card?
Unless you get two of those funky SLI cards that are meant to be
paired, you will have to fall back to Xinerama (rather than using
NVidia's Twinview), this means that at best 3d will be only on one
monitor (at worst it won't be on any).
Other than that, I cant see any reason it won't work, and from previous
googling on the subject, most people seem to have reasonable success
configuring it.
Personally if I had the monitors to go triple, I'd rather do it using a
card(s) designed explicitly for that. That way I can be sure there will
be no problems, and 3d, etc will work nicely.
