For long-term use, as your home ADSL IP address will change over time,
look at using the services of dyndns.org or some other dynamic DNS
service. This will leave an agent on one of the machines on your
network, which will periodically confirm your current IP address and
associate it with a unique DNS name within their address space. No
need for you to tell anyone else what it is :-)
