Well,
after a long journey that took me from Slackware to OpenBSD to Suse to
DamnSmall to Debian I have finally arrived 18 months ago. Ubuntu has
worked well for me for the last 18 months. I appreciate its excellent
support, a very active community and, very important for an Linux idiot
like me, the complete lack of l33t snobbery from the support foums.
I had no problems with stability either on the desktop or on my server.
Sometimes I pine for some more eyecandy as on my Macs, but that's it
really. Apt-get serves me well, and the hardware support is impressive.
It truly is a Linux for human beings.
