I've never tried, but it can be done with Cygwin. A text console on
windows is pretty limited of course, hence the need for something
extra to display the GUI. Using SSH to tunnell over the internet to a
Linux box that is on the same LAN as a Windows box running a VNC or
RDP server works pretty well and was what I had in mind.
