[nzlug] Very simple gui for apt package upgrades

I'm after a very simple gui with minimal requirements (like it doesn't
need half of gnome/kde installed) to manage package updates via apt. I
want something with reasonable feedback along the lines of update-manager.

Yes I have considered using update-manager but the total dependency tree
for all of the python + gnome components got a little large.
