[nzlug] Audio editor for ALSA

Remember the fun I had finding audio editors for ALSA? I'm after an
editor to edit MP3's now. Tried Audacity first, using aoss to launch it.
Sadly, Audacity doesn't seem to recognise the /dev/dsp device provided
by aoss.

So, I tried something called "Ardour" - Ick! User interface from hell.
Forget that - couldn't even find a "File" menu let alone load an MP3
into it. Wanted me to set up a sound studio before it would even try
talking to audio.

Tried ecawave. Segfault.

Not having much luck here. All I want to do is trim a few MP3s. If it is
possible to do this on an ALSA box without converting them to WAVs and
back so the editor can read 'em I'd like to know about it.
