Hi,
A quick question to someone who I'm sure will know the answer.
As a keen tramper, and part time student, I've been spending some of my
spare time this year using open source technology to do cool stuff with the
Auckland University Tramping Club.
We've built this website www.autc.org.nz <http://www.autc.org.nz/> and now
we're looking at replacing our yahoo group which has served us well for many
years, with a group associated with our own domain name.
We also want to have control over the advertising that goes out to the group
for sponsorship reasons, as we figure we'd rather have any advertising
revenue heading to us rather than yahoo.
Is there a free open source solution that we could use to replace our yahoo
group?
How does the linux users group do it?
We can send emails direct to our members through the website but it doesn't
quite provide the same, hit reply and type functionality that the yahoo
group does.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
John Deverall
