All you can do is ping the box. SSH no longer works.

It's a known one. Might even be fixed on later kernels, and maybe one
day it'll be available on Ubuntu 6.06 LTS :)

Hard to tell. No way of running diagnostics, but the kernel timer error
is occasionally logged. I'm by no means the first or only one to report
this. Skype tend to make about 1 release a month, so we're overdue. I'm
sure I'll get back to it after Xmas. Might even bring it up at LCA if
any kernel hackers are interested.
