How many people in the Linux community will change what Distro they use
over this?

Personally I feel that we should be careful not to be too judgmental, to
keep the door open, and not to demonize a company unless they are being
very active against Linux, aka SCO.

I have signed the petition however, as the points made are valid; we
cannot accept any situation where Linux distribution is restricted. If
there are valid patents covering Linux that MS own, the only resolution
is to remove or change those sections; after ensuring there is no prior
art. To agree to restrictive patent licenses is not an option.
