Choice of browser (Re: [nzlug] Blocking images in Konqueror)

Here's another question.  People blasted (Internet) Explorer for being a
file browser and a web browser.  The widely cited reason is the potential
for root exploits on file systems caused by web pages.   Why is it OK for
Konqueror to be a file system browser too?
