This is an interesting point, the "Computer Expo"'s at Ellerslie
involved seminars etc and free entry. (Though I don't think the seminars
were free, vendor displays et al were.) They (IDG) were giving away
tickets in pamflet mail-drops as well as advertising like mad in their
publications (well, the publications they distribute). All they wanted
was your demographic stuff ...
It is also interesting that IDG are involved at all ... are they
involved with a linux publication these days?
