This is a threading library vs netdb library issue: in a non-threaded
program h_errno is a data symbol defined by libdb.so, however in a
multithreaded program it's a macro that expands to something like
(*_h_errno_location()) which is a code (aka 'text') symbol.

Try looking for a non-threaded version of libdb.so (despite libpthread
implying that it's a threaded program).
