OT [nzlug] Vendor of bits & pieces in NZ who does Paypal

Sure, and that's why you have the option: use that vendor and put up with it, 
use a competitor, or don't use anything. With Paypal there is very little 
competition, so many people choose not to use it. As others have said, it's 
not very efficient currency-wise for merchants to use here, and what concerns 
me is their habit (I don't know how bad it still is, but I've heard of it 
happening not so long ago) of freezing accounts, or pulling money out of the 
back/credit accounts that back the paypal account.

For that reason, I refuse to connect paypal and my bank account, even though 
it would mean I could get my money out. (Instead I use the money that goes 
into there to pay for other things)
