[nzlug] Sata 2 Controller Card

Can anyone recommend a SATA 2 PCI (standard, not Express) Controller 
Card that is compatible with Linux?

I've found a couple but chipset information is hazy, or the controller 
is simply not compatible.

I don't want to spend a fortune to be able to get SATA support in this 
particular server, but was thinking that I may as well get SATA 2 gear, 
than the older SATA 1 (unless someone can recommend a SATA 1 controller 
card for very very cheap that will work).

Brand and model would be good, a link to a business selling the card 
would be even better.
