[nzlug] DSE VoiP phone with Linux

Have any of you tried the little red DSE USB VoIP phone with Skype on
Linux.

When I try to install its supplied Linux version of SkypeMate, it errors
out with a message: USB VOIP Phone Error


Running the install program under strace, I find it's
opening /dev/mixer3 and failing with error ENODEV

The file /dev/mixer3 exists and even when I chmod its perms to 777, the
program still fails at the same point.

lsusb show the phone as Freshtel FT102 VoIP USB Phone

Any ideas?
