Terry
About.com have free tutorials they email you once every week or you can skip ahead and do the lessons faster, also linux.org have free lessons too on the right hand side (top) of the website, covers the basics to expert. I think its probably the best way to learn is to jump in and mess around (with the help of a reference like those two above). that way youll learn only what you need when you need and not get too much info.
Regards
Dave.

Good Day Everyone,
I have just set up a dedicated machine with Linux and need some
expert guidance in its use mainly in familiarisation with commands in
general use - tips and hints from experience really.
I live in the Kapiti area and will be pleased to pay for any service
time if there are any takers out there that is.
Looking forward to hearing back
Terry Bicknell
