[klug] Ubuntu Upgrade

Peter your advice to wait for the edgy eft version to settle
is well founded - I did the upgrade, and now find my laptop
has become very slow with excessive disk thrashing, I guess
because version 6.10 is memory hungry. Fortunately I can
choose to boot into 6.06 again  at startup and the laptop is
as good as ever. I may be upgrading RAM sometime soon...
