[klug] May meeting

I'm keen to give a tutorial on Scribus but not until our 'June' meeting as I
want to have a good working knowledge with it. I'm just about to lay out a
monthly mag/newsletter (20 pages) I do which gives me the opportunity to
learn any unknown , as yet, (type setting mainly) stuff.

I'm just starting to get into colour management (for Linux that is) and over
the next few days will be building the required icc profiles so I'll include
that in the tut as well. ...to export to .pdf from Scribus one has to have
accurate icc profiles (not generic ones) as I've found out.

Lance, in order to do the profiles you will need to download and install
'Monica' (gamma/colour monitor tool)
http://www.pcbypaul.com/software/monica.html

and 'Lprof' (gui/frontend for Little cms - Lcms) - tool to create icc
profiles. I guess you already have Lcms and liblcms installed.

http://lprof.sourceforge.net/ Click on the logo at the top of the page to
take you to the download site. Note: all the dependents are required - refer
to the readme.

Cheers,
Peter
