I'll be at the next meeting.

...I'm back with a new lease of life, so to speak, regarding Linux. This
time I'm staying as I can finally replace windoz for 99% of my work.
Although
Scribus is no Adobe InDesign as yet I can get by.

Next month Kapiti Coast Libraries begin trialing their new 'management'
software program ...and yes, it is *nix (Unix). My wife (Paraparaumu
librarian) says it's only a matter of time before they're 100% *nix
(Linux?).
Does that mean the KCDC in general will follow? Time will tell.

The Ubuntu discs and KLUG poster are in the library but the poster
board/table
is sooo cluttered I don't know if they'll be noticed ...most of the discs
uplifted so far, I'm told, are by library and IT staff.

I've forgotton the meeting start time ...7pm?

Cheers,
Peter
