I've not seen it. :-) To get supervisor privilege, just login with the "root" and the password you set for root at the install......and you will have set that password, whether you rmember it or not. :-) This is the same as in Windows XP "Administrator". Xandros networks should ask you for the root / supervisor password when you try to install / remove any packages. All Linux / Unix / BSD system have a "root" userid that is the "god" of the system. It can do anything. Not a good idea to use this for everyday use......but reserved for doing specific tasks like the one you need to do now. dpkg --configure -a Steve
