We have even had an offer of a venue from Martin Ponsford - subject, of course, to any caveats the host cares to impose (as his / her right). There are 27 people on the mailing list, though two of these are people interested in LUG activities generally and not KLUG in particular. Lance's venue has been excellent on all counts with all the essentials ready and waiting: 1. Big enough 2. Computers galore all loaded with linux. 3. Internet connectivity 4. audio-visual equipment for play / game or pressos. That only a few have taken advantage of it is probably due to a lack of promotion more than anything. Recent troubles were partly due to me going to Canada in June and no one picking up the dropped ball while I was away.....or since. Poor Lance turned up to host meetings and no one showed. That's not on and it shouldn't happen if we were properly considerate of his time and energy and commitment. Having said that, each new day is an opportunity to put all that right. So....the date / time were a function of the venue. If the venue is to change (must it change, Lance?) then we can reconsider the date and time. For me, I'd like to change the date AWAY from the first Thursday of the month as this conflicts with the Palmerston North PLUG meetings...and they are only 20 minutes away from me, while Raumati South is 50 minutes away.....and as I'm now working shifts at a prison (took the job out of curiosity), I can't always be sure I'll have the first Thursday of each month off....so may have to attend the 'other' meeting to be invovled at all with a LUG. Steve
