[klug] Dial up connection

Nathan,

sounds like a routing problem - a post of the log of your ppp connection 
would be useful.

use ifconfig to bring down your lan card 'ifconfig eth0 down'
dial up
use 'ifconfig ppp0' to check the status of the dial up link
use 'route' to check the routing - default route should be set (and it 
should not be your lan)
ping the google ip address I gave you
then check dns settings

'tcpdump'is very useful for network debugging - read the man page on it 
and have it running in another terminal as you dial up and do your pings
