not a prob if you set it up right to begin with and give your self correct 
permissions and the right group with your user account
very secure actually, great idea

I have several GUI's to choose from and so many eye candy's it stupid
a matter of setting up your installation properly

yup, true, stick with mandriva if I where you!!!
