Hi Dean, What type of laptop are you using, some laptops are just plan stubborn? Is the partition currently NTFS or FAT32, is Windows (what version) still installed on the laptop HDD? I have found that Mandriva is great for partitioning and resizing NTFS drives but it has got it wrong in the past, I would recommend using a partitioning tool from within windows to partition the drive and then installing Linux. Is there any errors at all when any of those distros tries to partition the drive if so what are they?
