Anyone out there using Linux as a media-centre pc to record tv etc?
If so what are you using?

I've downloaded Mythbuntu and Knoppmyth which are both supposed to be 
turn-key systems to achieve this, but found both are hideously difficult 
to setup.
Seems you need to be some sort of TV/Video technician to understand the 
terminology required to fill in 1001 different settings..
So grasping at a very thin straw, I accepted most of the defaults but as 
expected, that didnt work.

Before I am forced to use that 'other OS' to get my mediabox going, has 
anyone had any success doing it with Linux?
