Thanks John thats pretty much what I'm after - just gotta figure out how
to configure the WL-520GC to have a different ip from the modem.
They're both trying to use 192.168.1.1

Ive tried putting the modem/s into bridge mode and letting the router do
the authentication but it wont connect to the net.
I think thats because the router uses PPPoE and NZ requires PPPoA ??

It sort of worked (for a while) with Rene's suggestion that I turn off
DHCP in the router - but the connection drops out requiring a power
off/on of all devices to go again.

In the IP-Config section of the router, what would you set WAN
connection type to?
1 automatic IP
2 Static IP
3 PPPoE
4 PPPTP

WAN DNS setting:
Get DNS server automatically? Y/N
If no, what IP to enter?

LAN IP Setting:
currently 192.168.1.1 and 255.255.255.0

Enable DHCP server? Y/N
Domain Name _________currently empty
IP Pool Starting address: 192.168.1.2
IP Pool Ending address: 192.168.1.254
Lease time: 86400
Default Gateway: _________currently empty

DNS & WINS server setting:
DNS server1: _________currently empty
DNS server2: 192.168.1.1

IP Config Route:
Apply to routing table? Y/N (currently no)

NAT Setting:
Enable Port Trigger? Y/N (currently no)
Enable Virtual Server Y/N (currently yes)
