I was merely pointing out that its first generation and associated
technologies aren't totally there to make the eeepc what it could be.
And we do literally have 3 of them at my job and my current negativity
is based upon the fact that my employer thought it was a good idea to
rebuild the shop where every PC was one of them. Meanwhile he doesnt
have to run the shop and receive the negative comments from customers.
At this point of time, maintaining them would be a nightmare. Until I've
built up the tools to manage them...
They are first generation though, second generation will be better.
They are $599 toy, they are good if you have nothing else, and really
good if you want to keep you 13yr old daughter off the computer by
giving her one of her own.
I've used nLite and modified a Windows XP SP2 CD for it, although I have
to test Windows Fundamentals for Legacy PCs on it, rumors of a 9 second
boot up time warrant that. The modifications Asus tell u to make to
Windows XP in the book aren't enough.
I want one for myself i must admit, it would be good to replace my
laptop that runs my server http://t94xr.ath.cx/
and if you use one to the extent that I do at my work, the novelty wears
off after a while.

(the one whos had ALOT more experience with them than Brett)
