As people may remember, at the last meeting we were talking about people 
getting locked out of their (vista) computers when vista detects that 
they are doing something illegal.
I have just proved that this is true.  Imaged my windows xp cd to my 
hard drive, and hey presto! a locked up system (even numlock/capslock 
etc had frozen) only fix was to reboot my system.

Now if that isn't an invasion of privacy, i don't know what is.

Apart from the glaringly obvious DRM/anti-piracy things, vista is no 
worse (i wont say its better, though it probably is in some aspects) 
than windows xp. Aero is pretty cool, not that it couldn't be done with 
linux.
