[hblug] KDE File associations..

For some obscure reason, since I installed Google Earth some of my file 
associations are screwed.
A plain .txt file used to open in Kate ( as its supposed to ) but now I 
get Google Earth when I click on a .txt file
Same with .php files.
Went into KDE's file association manager and every thing is set as it 
should be.
I even removed Google Earth and its associated .kml file type altogether.
But still clicking a .txt or .php file still triggers Google Earth...

Right-Click and "Open With" shows that Google Earth is the top option 
(just above Kate )

How do I remove Google Earth from that Open With menu?

sometimes the little things can be soooo annoying :-/
