As I'm a newbie on Linux...

I opened Run Command
and typed         touch /etc/resolv.conf
result was ... nothing apparent on screen?

How do I run kppp as root as I usually run it from the menu?

Can you give me the steps?

Yeh got that bit selected Ok, still will not detect though at this 
point.   ~ : \
