[hblug] Xsane - Brother MFC 215c - USB scanner, Error message

Hi All... A Windowz converted driver here!

Currently running Ubuntu "Feisty Fawn" 7.04? 
Downloaded and installed Xsane for our printer scanner etc and needed to
have a go set this up.
Anyone else using this at the moment...?

On start - Main screen recognises scanner attached device - select OK
Error Message - Failed to open device 'brother2:bus2;dev1':
                            Error during device I/O
                            Close
I've heard that there may be a bug in either Ubuntu version upgrade or
Xsane that stopped the USB connection from working and only permitted
the serial connecting to continue to function?

Anyone got any tips??
