you need libapache-mod-php5 if you want apache (Though im not quite
sure why you would want to use
apache1.3 instead of 2.2

I have both Apache and Apache2 installed

 Try killing Apache, and starting apache2, hell even remove apache, you
don't need (or want) it.


Browsers I have tried are Firefox, Konqueror, Epiphany, & Mozilla, every one
> of them wants to save the main.php file instead of displaying it.

Browser shouldnt make any difference.
