I think it's a good idea, I use Kubuntu myself, and it is a good starter
for ex-Windows users.
But I just had a thought - what if somebody throws a mac our way?
btw, I think Xubuntu or another system with XFCE window manager could
probably run on a system detailing less than 500MHz / 128mb / 10gb
fairly easily.... but I think it would be quite good to get a few IPCop
boxes up and running.
