Been following this thread and decided to announce my ignorance with a 
few dumb questions..

By parallel computing - you are talking about a cluster? ( eg: several 
pcs working on one item/program/job whatever )

If so,
Does the final application (eg: seti ) have to be multi-processor 
capable to make use of the cluster?
Do the "nodes" in the cluster need to be the same CPU speed / RAM etc?
Does the cluster have a "master pc" that one actually does the work on, 
and all the "drones" just help out somehow?
