Hey,
Dunno if I could get to the LUG but I have a computer or two that could
run it. I'm asuming that it is CD-boot and not HDD install seeing as
it's a Knoppix distro.
Both the computers I have are Athlons, one's an Athlon XP and one's an
Athlon 64.
Another cool idea would be to one day set up a dedicated parallel server
network... ya know, parallel OS installed on HDD... or however it works.
Gentoo would be able to do it, although I don't think many people would
enjoy compiling and installing abso-fuckin-lutely everything in the OS
^_^ (excuse ze french)
Could parallel computing help doing something such as rendering a
high-vertex image in blender? Just a thought.
Sounds like fun,
Brett
