Are there any ISPs using wireless for high speed connections in the
Gisborne area?  A couple of non-technical people have told me there is
some wireless provider over on the Wainui/Makarori Beach side of town,
but nobody knows any details.  (Or where would be a better place to
ask that question?)

P.S.  I've just moved to Gisborne from Tokyo, and am underwhelmed by
the connectivity options I've found so far.

P.P.S.  About 12 years ago I was one of the founders of the Tokyo
Linux Users Group, and am still an active member of the group and
Linux user.  It would be fun to make it down for one of your meetings,
but it looks like you are a bit out of range for a weekday evening.
But maybe someday...
