I'm definitely interested and I'll volunteer to talk about and
demonstrate VMware, VirtualBox, and/or QEMU.
Maybe we can throw a discussion of WINE into the mix, too? We'll have
to define virtualization a little more loosely, but it's still related.
I'll be happy to talk about this, too. I meant to mention it in my
original email. In some cases, WINE is a better way to run Windows apps
than actually running them on Windows.
I don't have any experience with Xen or KVM because none of my computers
have processors new enough to have the virtualization support built into
the processor. My original purpose, several years ago, for playing with
it was to run Windows. Since then, I've found it to be very useful for
development, testing, and tinkering with several operating systems and
even different (virtual) hardware.
This is the first I've heard about VServers. Is this at
http://linux-vserver.org/Welcome_to_Linux-VServer.org?
Thank you,
Vince
