Assuming that your clients are running the same binary then the static
data in the applications will be shared.  It doesn't help that you have
picked two of the most bloated applications available for Linux, but
don't expect to have to allocate a strictly linear volume of memory for
each additional user.

Moving the application out to the end node, using network booting, is
almost certainly worth your while.
