I am trying to add Windows fonts to my Eee PC which is running the Eee
PC version of Xandros.
I started using Method 3 from
http://linuxhelp.blogspot.com/2005/12/adding-windows-fonts-in-linux.html
and got as far as running "mkfontdir" while in the
"/usr/share/fonts/truetype/windowsfonts" directory. The file "fonts.dir"
appeared in that directory. I then looked for "fonts.cache-1" in the
"/usr/share/fonts/truetype" directory and couldn't find it. I tried
entering "whereis fonts.cache-1" and got
fonts: /etc/fonts /usr/share/fonts
I looked in those directories and couldn't find it.
My experience with linux is minimal.
