Hi,

Are you trying to copy a whole partition? Have you tried using split to
divide it into smaller pieces? (There may be a file system limitation at
play).

http://wiki.linuxquestions.org/wiki/Dd << good examples of using dd and
split

Subject: [AuckLUG] ssh & dd

Hi,
Hope I'm asking for help at the right place.

I'm using the ssh command to execute the dd command in order to copy
the full content of
1.2Tb volume. The command executes perfectly and transfer data until
it hits the 500Gb
mark. Thant's where it stop. If I skip to 499Gb and then try to copy
anything more, it will
only copy 1gb and stop. There is more than enough space on the target
disk. What should
I do to copy the rest of the Volume?

Please, any comments or advice will help.
