Good morning all
For a slightly more constructive solution I would recommend having a look
through the mythtvnz mailing list. (
http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/mythtvnz/). This question comes
up all the time and there are a couple of very well supported cards
available in NZ.
This thread for instance mentions that reason why your current card probably
doesn't work:

Most people recommend the Hauppauge PVR 150 it seems - That is if you want
an analogue card. The options for digital are completely different and there
seems like the best bet is to buy those of a guy on trademe that imports
them.

If I remember correctly ( I once had a similar card) there is a Linux
