Funnily enough I had a problem trying to get printing going today. I
found myself using the CUPs interface (http://127.0.0.1:631) to figure
it out as I was finding gnome's printer configuration tool wasn't
giving me any details as to the status of the printer nor was it
letting me make any changes (kept asking for a password and wasn't
accepting my password - whereas the cups interface, though being much
the same, allowed me to log on as root which I've enabled on my
installation of Ubuntu.
Regards,
Nevyn.
