[AuckLUG] ROOT dev trouble.

I get this error message.

VFS: cannot open root device "803" or Unknown-block(8,3)
Please append a correct "root=" boot option; here are the available
partitions:
0300      4194302 hda driver:  ide-cdrom
Kernel Panic - not syncing : VFS; Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block
(8,3)

I have tried editing the lilo config, nothing works so far.

Root=/dev/sda3  ( which is the correct root dev )
I have a feeling that the correct SATA module hasnt been installed. but
still having no luck finding that.
Has anyone run into this trouble before ??
