[AuckLUG] freenx vs. nomachine nx

I've played around with it to a point. My interest was in using it (or
x-windows) as an alternative to Citrix. I've found that NX is great
for compatibility (when using it with a windows machine - never tried
the client on Linux) but with that came an overhead in terms of speed.
I'm perfectly willing to help though I never go to the meetings
anymore (pure laziness - when the meetings were at asterix, they were
close to a bus stop). State the issue or concern and I'd be perfectly
willing to play around with my setup and try and find an answer for
you. I use it currently when I want a complete desktop. If I have
individual applications I want to run I tend to use X.
