i'd also be interested to learn about NX,
last time i tried it the effort wasn't worth the gain.
but now that i am getting more into git i am using remote X more.
(which is quite ironic, because git has great commandline support,
 but for learning the gui tools are better (especially the gitk branch
 graph is indispensable))
