[AuckLUG] XtraXtra broadband?

Hi everyone
This is not specifically a linux question - other than the server
discussed is running Ubuntu.
We currently have this small Ubuntu server connected via Xtra broadband.
We'd like to get a faster connection speed.
(The server is well set-up with SAS raid, 4Gb RAM, PHP accelerators etc.)
Speaking with your friend and mine, Telecom, they have quoted:
Pricing for 1MB (1024CIR/1024PIR)
Installation: $1430.00
10GB - Monthly Frame Access: $523
Mixed Usage: $336
Total: $859.00 per month
Overage (per GB) - $69.00
+GST
Add that up and it's about $12,000 for a year! (for a tiny 10Gb allowance pcm).
:-(
However, at the moment we have two phone lines, one of which is not
connected.
So the question is...
Can we link TWO Xtra broadband accounts to one router/server to double
the speed?
I don't know enough about 'networking' to understand whether this is
possible or how it would be done :-(
Any ideas? Or is it just a stupid question?
Cheers, Stuart.
