I would like to know what people think about project which have selective
licences ... for e.g. GPL for GPL open source projects only and ...
moneyware if you want to use it for any commercial purposes; I can see why
they would do that - the companies need a revenue stream ... sure: but
something doesn't feel right, not just because I'd need to pay money if I
wanted to use it at work ...
they are saying: its free for you if you contribute your evening hours on
the project and we make money from it, but if you want to work on it at work
then too bad you pay us !
making it gpl for everyone not just for others who use gpl software has many
benefits; when companies get behind improving these pieces of software it
can make a huge difference --- i hope gpl v3 has something to deal with
people ripping off fsf'ers hard work
